I thought Ben's comment about the relative value of US Air miles interesting. Could you talk about other potential reasons that may tip the scales towards other frequent flyer programs?

Do you have a specific question about US Airways program, or another specific program? It might help Ben and the rest of us tailor some comments specific to your needs.  Who are you currently flying with? Are you thinking of changing?

No specific questions about US Air. How do different programs compare with regards to international award redemption? Should I look towards getting miles in program X as opposed to program Y? Is inventory different, or even service and creativity during routing? I currently am a UA 1K, but was wondering if I am missing out by not having more currency in other programs. Is any Star Alliance program worth sacrificing the UA 100% RDM bonus?
