Ever since I found Kayak.com, I have not gone back to Expeida, Travelocity and Orbitz. It is the most friendly travel search engine i have ever seen.

I couldn't agree more. I think the main difference is that Expedia, Travelocity, and Orbitz are designed to give you results and hopefully sell the travel/hotel/etc. package to you. Whereas Kayak is more about giving you all the possible information and options, then letting you be smart about filtering it to your needs.
