I thought that the UA twitter thing offering great sale fares is a great idea. Have them available for 2 or so hours and offer some ridiculous fare to somewhere (and double miles with that fare only)! Hope the rest of them (namely DL) follows.
So guys, when is the UPGRD.com DO? Can picutre it now, 60 people at DEN timing themselves while running from 1 concourse to the other and heading to the RCC for refreshments. (While us NW/DL folk follow our fearless leader - Mr. Hunter Hughes, to the SkyClub for some REAL beverages.)
That decides it then, PC it is for the next 45 years. good overview guys.
NWAsilvELITE - I like the way you think. Sadly, the SkyClub in Denver is closed, and we only have the PC for a few more months.
Well, we could always use a NW/DL hub to humor the UA/AA folks out there like SLC, DTW, MSP or MEM? Even better yet, we could have Matt get us all into the Southwest Club Lounge! Oh wait.........Foot in mouth
I'm thinking a race down the spongy moving sidewalk at JFK between T2 and T3.
You guys were wondering if other airlines are doing twitter stuff: - AA does some good stuff (@AAirwaves), and also their lounges have their own twitter feed (@AdmiralsClub) that posts about special club events (wine tastings, for example) - Not an airline, per se, but GoGo's twitter feed posts special coupons for a buck or two off inflight internet - My favorite: Alaska Airlines (@alaskaair) and Horizon Air (@horizonair) do some cool stuff. Special sales, occasionally funny posts, and special in-person meetups for twitter followers (http://twtvite.com/y9b2w5)
Also, as your official No. 1 Fan, can I second the idea of a UPGRD.com DO? If for no other reason then to make fun of Hunter in person. And to complain for twenty minutes that he never answered the letter I sent him, even though I sent it FedEx priority. He had one of his peons call me back. It was tragic. I'm seriously thinking about switching to another podcast.
Aren't you funny?
All in good fun. Not to milk it for more than it is, but I think being No. 1 Fan should entitle me to a little ribbing.
It certainly does. Good hearing from you.
