This week we are honored to be joined by the "front end" of the aircraft. Kyle and John, two commercial airline pilots, together we discussed:
- The pilots view of the flight attendant role
- crew briefings
- federal flight deck officers (FFDO)
- pilot chat during cruise
- relations between the two work groups (get your mind out of the gutter)
- forgetting FA's names
- the all important crew food subject
- and more...
We hope to see you every week in the lounge, where we'll dish the dirt and give you a peek behind the galley curtain! Remember to check out Sara's blog at TheFlyingPinto.com and Bobby's at UpUpAndAGay.com. If you have a comment about something we've spoken about, question for our panel of flight attendants, or if you just want to say "hi!" call our comment line and record your message at: 620-CREW-LGE (620-273-9543).
If you're a flight attendant and would like to join us on a future episode, please email us at FA@upgrd.com.
Thanks for listening!

One thing I've wondered is if you have a specific aircraft you fly on or if you have to know all planes your airline flies. Is there a certification process, or is it just basic new hire training? Obviously it is less important for Southwests, jetBlues and Airtrans with just 1 or 2 configurations, but airlines like United have many and that wasn't really mentioned in the bidding if you can only bid certain types of planes. Safety procedures on a 737 would be different than a 747 I assume.
