I can't believe some US airlines don't pay for your training course?
Even Ryanair, who are deliciously close to a bus service pay you.
You get your basic pay, which isn't much, but during my 6 week training course i got around £1200 which is about $1800.
No one pays for your accomodation anymore but they get around that by stipulating you must live within 2 hours of your base....which they know in reality no one does!!
And airline training courses?? Waste of money!! Although i might start one up myself...hmm....
