I am back from my quick trip to Asia, and wanted to share some photos before I get to the complete trip report soon (hopefully).

The Lufthansa 747-8i just before boarding
The beginning of dinner service. Seats face at an angle due to placement in nose.
Nice ride in a Mercedes S class, and ready to board my first A380
front of First Class cabin with stairs to main deck

View of the A380 just after landing in Tokyo

ANA Domestic 787 in Hiroshima
The lobby of my new favorite hotel in the world: The Park Hyatt Tokyo
Another part of my trip was a quest for some passport stamps. This was a productive day. (The Brazil stamps/visa is from several years ago)
Heading home on the old Lufthansa 747-400.
This was an interesting trip, not particularly relaxing, but some new experiences and several fun things. I'm almost done with my Bali trip report, but then I'll get to posting detailed reports from this trip.

Looking forward to it! Was the last flight from Frankfurt or from Toronto? ;)
Looks like a great trip! LH has so many different F products now it is getting confusing.
(The Mercedes is an S Class, not a 6 Class.)
@Matthew Thanks to the predictably great staff at the FCT, they quickly confirmed me on the nonstop FRA-ORD flight. After several hours on the phone with United who couldn't do it. Good to see you in Frankfurt!
@Tom Agreed on their F products. The new product is good, and really make the old seats seem dated. Thanks for the correction on the Mercedes. You are of course correct, and I have updated my post. I drive a Toyota, what do I know? haha
Brad, thanks for the preview. Also agree that there are too many LH F products out there. I'm particularly intrigued by the model that has a full bed next to the seats. Your 747 8i looks great too. That's a cool shot of the 787, btw.
@azm: Thanks! Lots more pictures to come.
I was hoping for the "new" 747 configuration with a seat and a bed, but unfortunately I just got the old config. Something over 40% are converted now I believe.
