Obviously there is much "buzz" about Continental joining Star Alliance today. I just received an email from Delta which made me laugh out loud as to how pathetic their attempt to steal some attention was.
Dear Mr. fozz,
Things may look a little different the next time you fly from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
As Delta and Northwest Airlines® join forces, we're working behind the scenes on an airport makeover. Beginning November 3rd, Delta signage will replace Northwest signage throughout Newark airport.
Look for Delta blue and red at former Northwest check-in and ticketing locations, lounges, gates and baggage claim areas. Rest assured, our new signage and airport staff will ensure you get where you need to go.
Our consolidation and rebranding efforts at airports nationwide will continue through 2009, and we'll finish rolling out our new look internationally by the end of next year.
So stay tuned for more merger updates — and thanks for choosing Delta!

Really Delta? Is that it? You had to send that today? What next? You're going to tell me the positives of flying out of JFK and LGA?
