One World Mega DO and Launch Party. What Would You Ask A Loyalty Program Executive

Some of you who have been reading on this site may recount Fozz's experience at the first Star Alliance MegaDO in 2009, and enjoyed his rant about some of the issues at the Star Alliance MegaDO 2 last year.  While this year's DO just finished up just over a week ago, it is time to move onto the next alliance to join the MegaDO party, One World.

On Sunday, October 9th at the Andaz West Hollywood will be the launch party for the One World MegaDO, to be held the week of the 23rd of January 2012.  If you are a One World loyalist, want to see how the other side is, or even are just kicking yourself for missing the past 3 Star Alliance MegaDOs, then the One World MegaDO is the event for you.

Details for the DO are scarce, but we know the primary airline sponsor will be American, with Hyatt serving as the hotel sponsor.  Unfortunately, there is a long waiting list for the launch party, however you will be able to purchase your seats for the DO online starting on October 10th.  I was able to get into the launch party, and I will be tweeting updates throughout the party (@RandomSegments) and plan on posting later that night with information from the party.

In addition to being the official launch of the DO, Maya Liebman (President of AAdvantage) and Jeff Zidell will be in attendance and socializing with the guests.  Since I will have the opportunity to interact with both of these prominent executives at the party, I am asking you, the reader if you have any questions that you would like for me to ask about their respective programs.  Feel free to leave your questions in the comment section, on Twitter, or email them to me at [email protected]

I would like you to ask Maya the following.. -why has there been a sudden reduction in the availability of Z/U/T award availability...this has always been one of the best things about the program and all of a sudden it has taken a turn for the worse -please have her encourage yield management be realistic and clear EXP upgrades closer to the 100 hour mark rather than making us go on standy-by at the airport
