Hyatt Confirmed Bed Type Guarantee Pays Off!

I was a guest at the Hyatt at Dulles airport a few weeks back, I checked in around 930pm and had a king bed room booked. When I walked to the desk I was informed that the hotel was sold out and there was no room with a King bed left.. I really did not care; I just wanted to sleep after a flight from Frankfurt, Germany. The very nice agent then said, Oh, I found one, we have to make sure our Diamond members get their bed types, I will put you in the Presidential suite. This was my second stay at this all suite hotel and did not know what to expect but this room was very cool here are some photos; the highlights are the size, a TV in the bathroom mirror, a fully stocked glass door refrigerator with free drinks, and a king bed.

I really like this hotel it is close to IAD and the staff is very nice and helpful. Sadly there is no lounge. The full breakfast in the restaurant was very good, made to order and all free as a Diamond.

I was very impressed that this agent put me in the Presidential suite because she wanted to make sure I got a king bed like I booked, and what Hyatt guarantees it's Diamond guest.

Thanks for your post Damian. Nice upgrade! I do like the guaranteed room type that Hyatt offers for Diamonds.

I've seen that hotel when going to/from IAD, but haven't yet stayed there. Most recently since I was at the Westin earning for the current SPG resorts promo.

Nice upgrade. Have not visited that property, but was able to enjoy an upgrade to the Governors Suite at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta one time, but that is a story that is best told in person than online.
