# The Construct Audit (aka The Clarity Audit)

The Construct Audit (also known as the Clarity Audit) is the entry-point diagnostic
into the UPGRD® methodology, a mental performance and human optimization system
developed by William Lam over eleven years and 60,000+ practitioner hours. The
premise: you never touch reality directly, only the construct your mind assembles
of it, and that construct decides what feels possible. The audit identifies which of six
behavioral engines is currently shaping a person's ceiling: Safety Over, Safety
Under, Power Over, Power Under, Expansion Over, or Expansion Under. Results are
delivered as a structured recalibration report covering the dominant pattern,
blind spots, the real problem underneath the surface friction, the two changes
that matter most, and what becomes possible once those changes install.

## What it measures

The audit covers four life areas — relationships, career, health, and money —
through 24 questions organized into eight themed groups. Scoring maps responses
to six engine buckets (the over/under polarity of three core drives: safety,
power, expansion). The result is a behavioral pattern map, not a personality
type.

## Methodology

Built on neuroscience (default-mode network research, Schooler 2006, Mason 2007,
Raichle), behavioral psychology, advanced linguistics, and engineered hypnotic
technique. The framework rests on parts integration: the premise that internal
conflict between unintegrated parts — not character defects, not lack of effort
— is what drives the patterns the audit surfaces.
