We recorded this frequent flyer podcast last week when Steven Slater was still in the news. In addition to this old topic we discuss:
- Bankruptcy of Mexicana
- Freedoms of the air, including some current North American Fifth Freedom flights
- More info on the freedoms of can be found on wikipedia
- How many countries have you visited? How many do you plan on visiting?
Please let us know if you are planning on visiting 100 cities and how far along you are in the comments below.

Nice that you comment about Mexicana. And yes 100% United and American will add more routes. Im sure United will add a normal flight, not seasonal flight, to Denver and Chicago. American would add more flights to DFW and MIA while Continental may add one more flight to Newark. Aeromexico or Air Canada can add a flight to Vancouver. Probably Aeromexico will add more national flights, but also low cost airlines like Volaris, Interjet and Vivaaerobus can add more flights. TAM should have a flight from Sao Paolo to Mexico. And maybe but I don't think, Iberia could add one more flight to Madrid, but that will be 4 daily flights!!! LX should have a flight.
@Oscar: And hopefully LH will keep it's daily 747 service to MEX (a very easy flight to score an award seat on). KLM too...
I've been waiting on some talk about Air Berlin joining oneworld. Has anybody flown them, and does this affect your plans for travel to or within Europe?
