The United/Continental merger is a hot topic for those that are frequent travelers on either of those airlines.  It has recently been announced that the 2012 Mileage Plus program will officially begin on March 3, 2012, once all systems are merged. Below is some of the United has released:

So far, the term "disappointing" has been pretty prevalent with the merger between United & Continental. From changing the benefits for everybody from Premier members to Million Mile Fliers, it has been expected that there would be more cuts to the COmbined carrier.

The other night I wanted to book a Star Alliance reward with my UNITED miles, so I called the 1K desk, I found the flights I wanted to get me from Manchester, UK (MAN) to Terceira, Azores (TER).
