Good Morning from Frankfurt!

sq-25-wamnut

Guten Morgen! I'm sitting in the Lufthansa Senator Lounge in FRA, en route to Singapore on the infamous SQ 25 JFK-FRA-SIN. Here are some picture on the JFK-FRA segments:

A full trip report (including booking process) will be ready after I arrive in SIN. Singapore really lives up to its hype!

Can one man destroy an airline? The beginning of the end of Lufthansa.

izqvcbftyhra

Lufthansa was once known as one of the better airlines in the world. Reliable, dependable, good service, enjoyable VIP treatment for their own and partner airlines frequent flyers. Over the past few years I have noticed some cut backs and changes that make Lufthansa just another airline. The one ...

Frankfurt am Main International: airport allure

Frankfurt am main airport (FRA) in Frankfurt, Germany serves the financial capital of Germany and the European Union. It is the busiest in Germany, and one of the world's largest airports. It was actually the first airport I ever flew to outside of US turf (although I did not disembark) back in ...

Lufthansa’s New Business Class – B747-8i

lh-(1-of-17)

In early July I got the opportunity to fly on the new Lufthansa B747-8i in business class.

Going with your gut is the best policy when traveling.

ua_delay

I just returned home to the UK from a long weekend in the states. As a UA guy I booked Manchester (MAN) - Frankfurt (FRA) - Washing Dulles (IAD) round trip. Sure this is now a UA non-stop from MAN-IAD operated by B757 but upgrades are never opened in-advance on that flight. I was able to use my ...

An Op-Up, Yet a 500EUR Cash Voucher Eludes Me on Lufthansa

There are few things worse for flexible frequent travelers than finding out when it is too late that you missed out on a bump, the opportunity to give up your seat in exchange for compensation.

I’m now in Belgrade, Serbia and at check-in this morning at Frankfurt, the Lufthansa ...

Playing the Standby Game on Lufthansa

The airline employee standby game is fun, but it can be frustrating too. Unlike standing by as a revenue passenger with top tier elite status on United, where you can generally count on being accommodated on whatever flight you want to standby for, this is not the case with airline employees (and ...

One night at the Frankfurt Intercontinental

Overview: A solid but aging upper-mid-scale hotel located on the bank of the Main River
Strengths: Service, cleanliness
Drawbacks: An aging property with a location that is best called “CBD-adjacent”

Earlier this month, I spent one night at the Frankfurt Intercontinental ...

Frankfurt’s SKY Lounge (Not the Sky Club!)

Earlier this month, I flew from JFK to FRA on Delta in their business class cabin.  Having to turn up for meetings a little while after arrival, I needed to find a lounge at the airport that I could access for a quick shower and bite to eat.

Delta used to operate a Crown Room at FRA, but ...
