This hotel impressed for sure, I have become a fan of “off season” travel, getting great rates at hotels that are packed during peak times. This hotel is a great example of how an off-season experience can prove to be impressive.

We arrive by car and parked in the hotels ...

Waldorf Astoria Hotels to Offer Hilton VIP's More benefits?

waldorf-astoria-hotels-and-resorts-logo

A source at Hilton tells me that some changes are coming once again to the Hilton loyalty program. My first reaction was “Oh Great!” as over the past few years any changes that Hilton has given us has been less then great, no matter how they would try to spin it. This source who also ...

Great Hotel - Hilton Copenhagen Airport - A review

img_3054

The Hilton Copenhagen Airport hotel is truly a part of the airport, and is owned by the airport. The location of the hotel is just a few steps away from baggage claim (T3) and also right next to the Metro to the city center. If you are a Hilton Honors member this is your only option in ...

The Airport hotel to stay away from at BWI - The Hilton BWI

baltimore-hilton-bwi

Normally I try to highlight the hotels around the world that treat loyal guest right, but from time to time you run into hotels that just fail on so many levels. As a loyal Hilton Diamond for over 8 years I have become accustom to the standards of Hilton Hotels.

The Hilton BWI airport is ...

Hilton HHonors Hope Diamond Members Enjoyed the Ride.

Once again I get to write about how Hilton has taken diamond members and bent them over the check in desk for a good screwing. It shocks me how year after year more and more benefits are taken from Hilton’s top tier of loyal guest. To make matters worse Hilton has also added things to the ...

Doubletree by Hilton Seattle Airport - Good pick for Hilton VIP's

DoubleTree_by_Hilton_logo_2011

This could be my favorite hotel in the US, as I live in Europe I do not experience many US hotels. I have been a guest at the DoubleTree at SEA airport over 10 times now, and I have to say consistency is this hotels best trait and over the past 4 years I have been impressed with seeing ...

Is Priority Club Platinum Status a Joke? I think so.

l_priority_club_largest

I got status matched to Priority Club Platinum from my Hilton Diamond Status a few weeks back. Tonight is my first stay in an IHG hotel, a Crowne Plaza in the UK.

All I can say is how can people be loyal to this program? What the hell do you get from being a Platinum? I’m ...

Using a Delta SWU on Air France with Premium Economy

Since no one is touching this on UPGRD, I'm coming out of the dark for a moment to fill you in on what you probably already knew.

In the past, most Delta (DL) people have moaned about the relative uselessness of SWUs, formerly known as PMUs.  I always felt obligated to use them when ...

bmi 20,000 mile promo

With our recent podcast on BMI and the growing interest, I figured i'd share a great promo.  Wyndham rewards has recently become a partner of bmi and is offering 5,000 miles per stay, up to a total of 20,000 miles.

Details can be found here.

In the states, this promo includes such fine brands as Howard Johnson, Super 8, Travelodge and Ramada.

This is an amazing return for a small outlay of cash.
