In October, I traveled to New Orleans (out of Munich) for a few days to attend the wedding of a family member.

I had an unused return ticket stored, and flew BusinessElite from Munich to Atlanta.  I then connected on an award ticket (I know, right?) from Atlanta to MSY.  Shocking enough, this was my first experience with an award ticket after the upgrade program started, and at five days out from each respective segment, I was upgraded.  This trips were on a Thursday ...

I'm writing this post on my MacBook Air from the tarmac in Oakland. We're plopped in one of Delta's finest CRJ200 regional jets. That's sarcasm, if you couldn't tell.

If your first reaction is, "Delta flies from Oakland to Los Angeles??" you're in good company. I had no idea until I booked it. We're flying down to LA for the long weekend, and my go-to flights are out of SFO, but the Delta OAK-LAX flight was only $60... plus, we're going to be ...

A great amount of time has been spent complaining about Delta’s policy for international upgrades – that is, upgrades on a product with BusinessElite, where BusinessElite service is provided.  No real amount of change has been seen with this product.  The relatively recent addition to standby when an upgrade seat is not available at booking changes nothing – when it comes to the price of a ticket that is eligible for an upgrade.   What if a plan was ...

The flight from Fort Lauderdale to Lihue, Hawaii took 18 hours, 3 flights, and 3 Sky Club visits.  I was booked on a 767-300 (international) with fully reclining seats, but last minute Delta switched it out with a 767-300 (domestic) that has standard seats.  Fortunately I was too excited to sleep so I took pictures, read, and watched movies while drinking mimosa's in first class.  I saved all my computer work for the flight from SLC to HNL completely spacing there would be no ...
