Oshkosh EAA Airventure 2011 photos: part 1

As I mentioned in my previous post, I have lots of photos from my visit to Oshkosh for EAA Airventure 2011.  This post contains photos of some modern planes for the private market and some custom aircraft in the airshow. Upcoming posts will include military aircraft, primarily WWII era, as well as a lot of photos of the 787 Dreamliner

Oshkosh_Cirrus_Jet

Cirrus Vision SF50.  Personal jet can be yours for a cool $1 Million.

Oshkosh_Cirrus_Purdue

Cirrus SR20 in the colors of my alma mater.  Apparently the Aviation Technology department has a fleet of these planes for the flight instruction program.

Oshkosh_Icon_motor

Icon A5, a light sport aircraft

Oshkosh_Icon_Cockpit

Cockpit of the A5.  This plane will be sold for $139,000.

Oshkosh_Pilatus

Pilatus PC-12.  I believe this Swiss-made aircraft is the largest single engine plane for commercial use.

Oshkosh_TwinBeech

Twin Beech, aka C-45. Rather impressively acrobatic in the airshow.

Oshkosh_Extra330SC

Extra 330SC

Oshkosh_Skybolt

Steen Skybolt

Oshkosh_Sailplane

Super Salto Sailplane.  Jet powered to allow for unassisted climbing to altitude

Oshkosh_Edge540

Edge 540 acrobatic plane.
