Lounge Review: American Airlines Admirals Club at SNA

american-air-6668

The American Airlines Admirals Club at John Wayne Orange County Airport is located in terminal A near gate 8.  Open to Admiral Club card holders and those wishing to pay the $50 entrance fee, the Admiral Club is small but offers a quiet place to relax and be productive before your flight. You do not need to fly American Airlines to use this lounge.

There are only two lounges at John Wayne Airport. The other lounge ...

TSA Increases September 11 Security Fee For Airfare Travel

Get ready to pay more for your flights because starting next week, there will be an increase to the TSA September 11 Security Fee. It’s not a huge increase but something worth noting if you travel frequently or travel with a family.  Effective July 21, 2014, the September 11 Security Fee will be increased from $2.50 per flight segment with a $5.00 cap to $5.60 per ONE Way with NO cap. On the surface, this increase doesn’t seem like a big deal but ...

Evolve Money No Longer Accepting Credit Cards

a_ct-dye

In case you missed it, Evolve Money is a free bill pay servicer that allowed you to pay your bills using cash, Visa/MC gift cards and bank debit cards. And for a while there, they actually allowed some credit cards to fund your Evolve Money payments. None of the American Express credit cards worked but certain credit cards such as the Barclay Arrival Plus World MC, Chase Ink Bold MC and Citi American Airlines Executive MC all worked. The charges to your ...

It looks like an amazing product and I can't wait to try it ...

Trip Report: Thai Airways A330 Business Class, Shanghai to Bangkok

thaiairways

If you haven't flown on Thai Airways before, here's one thing you should know about them. They switch out more airplanes on more routes than any other airline that I know. When I originally booked this trip, I was booked into first class on a Boeing 747-400. For whatever reason, this flight was downgraded to an Airbus A330 and my lie-flat first class seat was downgraded to an angled, recliner business class seat.

They are ...

Booking My US Airways First Class Award with No Fuel Surcharges

usairwaysmap

British Airways flights have traditionally been one of the harder products to redeem for. Not because of their lack of availability or program restrictions but because they were just so darn expensive. It didn't matter if you were using British Airways Avios or American Airlines AAdvantage miles, it was never cheap to redeem for premium cabin award space on British Airways flights. In addition to the miles needed, fuel surcharges and London departure taxes alone ...
