As a number of United fliers are aware, March 3nd marks the day when United and Continental move to a single Passenger Service System or PSS for short. Over the last few months, there has been a lot of animosity, particularly from the legacy United fliers about how awful this will be. But will it really be that awful or is this the general over sensationalism that the legacy UA fliers are so keen on projecting?
Let's start with a bit of a background. Apollo ...

I don't typically blog about my boring business travel. Every now and then there's something surprising like an emotional support dog or WiFi on a United filght, but today I just felt that not only was the service really great on the United (Continental) flight from Phoenix to Houston, but the food was also great as well. Combine that with the fact that the Continental 737-900 is my favorite domestic plane in the post-merger fleet. That makes for a bloggable flight.

Just a reminder... once you've linked your Foursquare account with United Mileage Plus, make sure to keep checking into airports! I blogged about the promotion initially here.
Once your Foursquare account is all set up, just check into the airport when you're there. Or, if you're like me, you can check into SFO every day when you pass it as part of your commute! Back in December I booked a r/t flight from EWR-SEA on Continental.com, I booked at a contract Y fare, and got the instant Platinum upgrade on all the flights. EWR-IAH-SEA and SEA-EWR
Today I got an email from Continental that rebooked me on a new flight from IAH-SEA that was 6 hours later. I checked online and there was still a flight at 0930 but with a new ...
First, let's define gate lice, according to Urban Dictionary…
Passenger, often inexperienced flyers in Kettle Class, who crowd around or line up at a gate at an airport completely blocking the boarding area and preventing First and Business Class passengers from being able to get on the plane when they're allowed to. They can also cause delays and confusion if a passenger in a wheelchair needs to board as the chair has to plow through the mass of gate lice hovering around the ...
