I’m going to miss bmi! I knew it was coming but it was very sad to see the Star Alliance logo taken off the bmi webpage. I moved to the UK a little under a year ago, and bmi was my UK airline, connecting me to the rest of the Star Alliance network. The other night I wanted to book a Star Alliance reward with my UNITED miles, so I called the 1K desk, I found the flights I wanted to get me from Manchester, UK (MAN) to Terceira, Azores (TER). Delta Air Lines is offering double redeemable miles on non-stop flights to and from Hawaii from the following Delta gateways:

  • Los Angeles
  • San Francisco
  • Detroit
  • Minneapolis-St. Paul
  • Salt Lake City

No love for Atlanta or Seattle.

Unfortunately, tickets already booked are not eligible for bonus miles: only tickets booked between September 14 and November 01 qualify. You don't have to register before you travel or book, but be sure to register before November 01.
