US Airways is offering double EQMs and RDMs in select markets through the end of the year, including MSP, RDU, BOS, STL, RIC, and PIT.

This offer mimics promotions by Delta and American that began last month, with one exception. While the fine print of the AA and DL deals state that your trip must originate and terminate in one of the targeted cities (though Fozz has stated that double miles are accrued on all flights that either start or end in a ...

Last month, United altered their meal service program in North America. For the most part, the changes were good, but one sore spot was the elimination of fruit and cheese plates from flights between Chicago and IAD, DCA, PHL, HPN, BWI, EWR, and LGA.

Well it appears that Delta and US Airways have given up on attempting to slot swaps at LaGuardia and Reagan National.  The deal was originally announced almost a year ago and has been the subject of heavy scrutiny by the government and other airlines.   The deal was also being fought by US Airways pilots union as it was going to mean the closure of another base.

While both airlines attempted to make some concessions in hopes of getting approval, ...

After starting A380 service between Los Angeles and Australia last year, Qantas will soon be doubling A380 flights on its Los Angeles-Melbourne route.

Right now, QF uses an A380 to fly from Los Angles to Melbourne three times a week. By spring next year, it will fly six times per week utilizing the 450-seat A380. The A380 is also used on flights between Los Angeles and Sydney.

I can't see how the Australian market can bear more capacity and maintain profitable price levels for tickets. I am still predicting that either Virgin Australia or Delta (more likely) will pull out. Delta Economy fares to Australia have been $699 r/t for weeks. That's great for consumers, but not for DL's bottom line.
