So yesterday I got to participate in the terminal simulation for the new international terminal in Atlanta.  One of the benefits was that it was the full experience, as both a departing and arriving passenger.  While I only have departing pictures (full simulation, people were even put in the hold at Immigration and full questioning).

I had a flight on Monday using same-day confirmed (awesome Diamond perk), but flying standby because the flight I wanted was oversold.  As soon as I arrived at the SkyClub they confirmed my seat, which was ironic because five minutes earlier the gate agent said it was impossible.  Needless to say I got on my flight to DTW and was upgraded on my second leg to PHX.  On my flight to DTW I got stuck in a middle seat, but they put me to an exit row to avoid complete misery.  I ...

My travels took me to Bermuda last weekend, thanks to a very low Delta Air Lines fare from Newark. Despite holding Delta Platinum status for a year (I have no status anymore with Delta), it was also my first time flying through Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport—back then I connected in Salt Lake City or Minneapolis only. I write this inflight on a Delta redeye from SNA to ATL, as today's flights turned into complete chaos when a surprise snow storm hit Seattle Sunday afternoon while Daniel and I were taking our mileage run.  We pulled out from the gate and then as we were about to taxi to the runway, they closed the runway because the conditions had deteriorated to the point where the runways were dangerous, and needed to be plowed.  So we returned to the gate, the delay grew until the point where ...
