For nonstop flights between LAX/SFO and JFK from September 1st through December 31st, Delta is offering triple redeemable miles on BusinessElite and select economy fares.

Economy fares included in the offer are only Y, B, and M so forget about mileage running with this offer. Business class fares included are J, C, D, S, and I. There is no limit to how many miles you can earn.

I posted last night that two of my three flights were zeroed out for my trip back to Philadelphia and I hoped to spend the night at SFO with a $600 voucher in my pocket. Things did not go so smoothly.

The SkyWest staff at Burbank continues to frustrate me. Most workers are nice, but they're not nearly as swift as the now departed mainline staff. Case in point: flow control at SFO meant delayed departures for flights to SFO. I arrived at the airport at 1940 to catch my 2023 flight to ...

This morning I received an email from Delta promoting its JFK-LAX/SFO premium BizElite product.  While I've received a few of these over the last few months, this one was different.  Apparently Delta wants the transcon business so bad, that it is offering double-MQMs and a dollar-amount credit.  The credit varies on the class of ticket you purchase.

This follows up on another promotion a few weeks ago where Delta was promoting a flat $1000 (before ...

This is a pretty cool video I was able to snap with my iPhone 3GS, flying from SFO to ORD on United a few weeks ago. Beautiful sunset with a perfect layer of clouds. Even cooler was seeing other planes in the distance surfing right along the tops of clouds like us! I didn’t catch that on video, unfortunately. Enjoy!

Although I can't beat Matthew's $105 fare on UA, this one way fare on American comes close. Purchased only a few days in advance with the upgrade clearing immediately, is always nice for me, but seems counter productive to AA's bottom line. Now if only Business class passengers weren't second class citizens. Where is my pre-departure drink!!! ;)

As I was tipped off by somebody who works at Alaska, I noticed they had great $31 one way fares to SFO and LAX from SEA on 10.30 and 10.31. Needless to say, I booked two seats to SFO for myself and a friend and since it was within the 72 hour MVP Gold upgrade window I got two upgrades at purchase for myself and my companion. I added an e-cert and paid $40 in taxes. $20 for a first class ticket with less than 72 hours purchase? I am very impressed. These lows fares made me buy some tickets. If planes are empty the airlines might as well fill them. I mean, who doesn't want to hang out in San Francisco on Halloween and still be home in time for parties?

Unfortunately I upset Luckycoins because he thinks I could have done LAX for more EQMS/RDMS but not everyone flies with a companion who wants to milage run (there is no doubt that it is easier to get into the city from SFO than LAX).

:)
