Yesterday, I blogged about a weather delay in Philadelphia that would have made my connection in Newark very tight. Turns out, the fog dissipated and my 81-mile CO Connection (CommutAir) flight from PHL-EWR was moved up to depart at 10:05 and arrive at 10:45, more than enough time to make my 11:55 flight to Orange County. Flight time is generally is 20-minutes or less on these short flights, so I wasn’t worried.

10:05 came and went. 10:10, 10:20, 10:30. At 10:35 the gate agent ...

...and it looks like I'll miss my connection to Orange County if my Continental to flight to Newark is delayed any longer.

Right now, they're telling me that EVERY SINGLE flight is full today on ALL carriers to SNA. Somehow I don't buy that. Thank goodness for ExpertFlyer.

I know everything will turn out okay, but the day, and my second trip in a row with irr/ops on CO, could turn out interesting.

Check out the official United-Continental merger website. 

"Work hard. Fly right." and "It's time to fly" weren't great slogans, but  "Let's Fly Together" is a lame and uninspired slogan of the new combined carrier. It's not even cute.

Even more disappointing is the new livery. While I don't dislike Continental's current livery, it outmoded--stuck in the '90s. United's livery is sleek and classy. Whether the new livery is compromise to ...

In a press release this morning, Continental and United officially announced their intentions to merge and released some details.  Additionally they've launched a website for the merger here.
