As I connected through IAH on my way to MSY last weekend, I ended up catching a few sights that are quite worth a look if you have the opportunity to experience the pier of the E concourse closest to Concourse C.

First up is one of the self-boarding gates they are testing out there.  Unfortunately, the gate was not active, however I was able to at least get a good look at the gate.

After countless delays, it looks like the 787 might finally arrive. In fact, Boeing just rolled out ANA's 787, ready for delivery next month. All Nippon Airways will take delivery of the plane in September. If you're looking to redeem miles on one of these flights in a premium cabin, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I managed to make the trek to Oshkosh on Friday, since I wanted to get up close and personal with the 787 Dreamliner which was there for about 8 hours.  I unfortunately didn't connect with Gabrielle, but with the madness surrounding the 787 and limited time, I didn't get to see nearly everything I wanted to.
