What You Didn't Hear on my NPR Interview

Greetings from Lisbon! It's raining here, but still 65F!

I got a kick out of hearing myself on NPR today, but was surprised that only 20 seconds of my 20 minute interview was included. Standard practice I suppose.

What did you did not hear:

  • Discussing the value of airline loyalty, even if just for 25,000 miles/year (what it really means to be elite)
  • Promotions such as DEQM
  • How valuable MRers are to airlines
  • How much I spend on travel
  • More anecdotes from my personal travels

Although I am a bit ticked off NPR did not cut the "um" from my first statement, I appreciate Jeremy taking the time to meet me at JFK for the interview and hope that the piece will inspire a few listeners to take the leap and plunge into the world of frequent flyer obsession--and subscribe to our upgrd.com podcasts on iTunes!

First the Washington Post. Now NPR. Next I need to shoot for an article in InsideFlyer, like Lucky's expert piece on mileage running.
