Up to 100,000 Miles from American Airlines on Facebook

In a brilliant move to boost its Facebook friendship count (another avenue of inexpensive advertising), American Airlines is offering between 100 and 100,000 AAdvantage award miles to link up on Facebook.

Simply follow this link to Facebook, add AA as friend, enter your AAdvantage number, and you'll quickly find out how many miles you are getting. The miles post in 3-5 days.

I only scored 1,000 miles, but at least my mileage expiration date has been pushed forward 18 month!

1000 is great --- when compared to the 100 I got. But it does post quickly.

AA must not like my family. We only got 100. Too bad the 25K that was dumped into the AA account (from TWA) expired. I could have extended those for a future CX redemption...

I honestly hate having to 'like' companies on Facebook. It really pollutes the waters, and makes facebook nothing more than a high school popularity contest. I enjoy MANY brands. I don't want to have to ANNOUNCE it, and this is beginning to make it look like its what will happen.
