Another great deal for all you Star Alliance mileage runners and those wishing to visit St. Louis from Los Angeles or LAX from STL.
United is offering Los Angeles - St. Louis r/ts from the end of August through December for $160 round-trip including taxes. Depart on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday. Same day turns are available. Book at united.com.
The best same-day routing I found was LAX-DEN-STL-SFO-LAX. If you're willing to overnight in STL, you can route through DFW and ORD (LAX-DFW-ORD-STL-ORD-DFW-LAX) for even more miles. That itinerary would earn 5,074 base miles.
As always with these cheap fares, book now if you are interested.
Continental Airlines has misfiled a V-class (Economy) fare from Lisbon, Portugal to Caracas, Venezuela. Rather than $550 o/w, it is only $55 o/w. With taxes, fees, and fuel surcharge, the lowest a/i fare is $440 r/t.
Sample Itinerary:
LIS-LHR-IAH-CCS, departing August 4 (LIS-LHR operated by BA)
CCS-IAH-LHR-LIS, departing August 19 (LHR-LIS operated by BA)
There appears to be a minimum four night stay on the fare, which earns full mileage in most Star Alliance ...

Check out this thread on FT, and book fast if you are interested.
TACA earns 100% RDMs on UA and they offering roundtrip fares for as low as $134 r/t (including taxes) from New York, Washington, and Chicago. This is likely a "sale" fare.
If you are creative in your routing, you can visit Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Panama in the same trip.
This fare will likely be dead in a couple hours. Book now (I used Orbitz) and ask questions later--you will have 24 hours to cancel.

I had the chance to join Lucky for some mileage running over the weekend and was able to snag a great fare to Seattle. The only catch: I had to get up to Newark or LaGuardia to start the run. I chose Newark because it was easier to get to from Philadelphia's 30th Street Train Station.
Saturday morning I hopped on a SEPTA regional train to Trenton with a connection on NJTransit directly to EWR. The whole journey took about two hours and I was able to get some work done onboard, despite ...
