Check out this house.

[Architect David Hertz] built a green house for his client, Francie Rehwald, using scrap parts from more than 230 feet long, 193 feet wide, and 60 feet tall, Boeing 747 jumbo jet. A VDB is the holy grail for any self-respecting mileage runner. Usually, I will go out of my way to seek them and plan my trips around cities and routes that have tend to be more overbooked than others.

I'm taking a little vacation in Montreal this week and was scheduled to fly from ONT-SFO-IAD-YUL, leaving this evening. This morning I got a call from UA's Easy Update informing me that my 7:29p ONT-SFO flight had been cancelled.

I can't see how the Australian market can bear more capacity and maintain profitable price levels for tickets. I am still predicting that either Virgin Australia or Delta (more likely) will pull out. Delta Economy fares to Australia have been $699 r/t for weeks. That's great for consumers, but not for DL's bottom line.
