Andaz This

I've never been a huge patron of the Hyatt brand - for no reason beyond their lack of hotels compared to Starwood, or anyone else for that matter.  My attention has been drawn, however, to the Andaz San Diego by way of Ben's current blog post (thanks to Mike for bringing this to my attention).  It looks like Andaz is simply a Hyatt version of the W brand, which generally does nothing for me.  This particular Andaz, though, has got my attention.

Ben has written off a particular suite because he finds it to be less than "classy".  I wouldn't expect much different from a teenager - who spent more time during school in an airplane than he did talking to girls - but you can judge for yourself:

A couple points of clarification for Ben:

  • Stripper poles are awesome in any context.  This fact cannot be argued.
  • The bunk bed concept is great when you have a lot of company - guests need somewhere to wait and "entertain" themselves, so that the host can remain focused on providing an excellent experience for everyone.

To Ben's credit, I'm not sure how they clean this place, but it can't be fun to witness.

Ouch, that was a little harsh! However, that is a pretty sweet room though.
