Matthew blogged last week about the sale on United Club passes. Well, Delta has decided to outdo United, by offering a special groupon that the advertised one is a single visit pass for $25, the same price as posted for holders of a Delta American Express Card. However, the second deal is much more attractive if you are flying through airports that have Delta Sky Clubs that are accessible (ORD is actually decent if you are on Regional Jets, since the SkyClub is right there). For $89 you can get a 5 visit punch card. While I may not be a huge DL flyer, a 5 visit punch card is a great value, since ATL is my home airport, and the Senator Lounge has extremely limited hours. This special Groupon purchase window expires on 11:59pm EDT on October 27, 2011.
And since this is purchased in advance, you have time to use all of your passes on your own schedule. The only catch is that you must use all of your passes by April 30, 2012 and can not use the first pass before10/28/11. All in all, not a bad deal, especially since the punch card makes it a steal at $17.80 per visit. And really, if you are visiting much more than this, you might as well consider buying a full membership. I'm sure they may even try and do an offer after with a special discount on the skyclub membership after you start using your passes to try and get you in. If they include the retail value (or even the price you paid for the groupon) as a discount on your membership, then it may be worth considering depending on how you value it.
And for those of you who are wondering what is inside a sky club, I encourage you to look at my experience a couple of weeks ago (though not many have the comfortable showers).
