TSA PreCheck Pilot Program Begins

TSA began the PreCheck pilot program this week at four select airports.  The pilot is available to a small group of frequent travelers from American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and CBP's Trusted Traveler programs.  Eligible participants must be flying domestically from one of the pilot airports: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International, Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County, Dallas/Fort Worth International and Miami International.  The goal of the program is to expedite the travel process for individuals that have opt-ed into the program by offering more information pre-flight.  Let's hope the pilot is successful so TSA can expand the program to more airlines and airports!

Has anyone experienced PreCheck?  I received a message from Delta months ago and filled out the form on my SkyMiles profile, but I haven't flown through the pilot airports yet.

I'm very interested in trying this program out, but I was not offered anything from Delta like you mentioned. I'm guessing this is due to my limited travel on them this year. I'm hoping to be in DTW to try it out before too long. Based on what I have read about it, I believe I would qualify on the basis of my NEXUS/GE membership and Delta elite status.
