Thirty-Six Hours in Honolulu

Thanks to Hawaiian Airlines, I was able to spend last weekend in Honolulu. The best part was that United had matched the prices, so I ended up paying less than $250 to fly round-trip from San Francisco to Honolulu. While I would still have to purchase positioning flights, the cost of those would be offset with an e-certificate, so I was looking at a pretty inexpensive weekend trip.

To take advantage of this fare, I had to fly out to San Francisco, but for such a cheap flight to Honolulu, I was more than willing to use one of the e-certificates I have received from United. Flights from Kansas City to San Francisco are usually priced pretty well, so the total cost was less than $100.

As was the case with my last trip to Honolulu, I decided to return to the Hyatt Regency on Waikiki Beach. The hotel has excellent views of Diamond Head, as well as the water, and makes for a great place to watch the sunset!

I was also planning to meet up with some local FlyerTalk members for dinner on Friday and lunch on Saturday. Many of them I had met during my trip in December, but there were two couples that I got to meet in person for the first time!

The links above will direct you to the various sections of my trip report.. Enjoy!
