This video, albeit in German, gives a glimpse into the life as a LH HON member! As you can see, the treatment is pretty amazing, considering the extra services you receive. LH will transport you to the airport for free, and in a luxury car, give you access to the first class lounge, and even drive you across the tarmac! Imagine being driven in a Mercedes or Porsche to the departure gate for your flight!

I am definitely looking forward to the day when I have enough miles to redeem for a trip in LH F!!

Happy New Years! I'll be flying to Kona with some FlyerTalkers on Friday, and will post a trip report once I return. I'll be trialing something I have been thinking about for quite some time. I hope to only bring my iPad, and not my laptop! I'll let you know how that goes..

Cheers!

As I posted over here, 1K Flying on Continental, I decided to try Continental for my trip from Orlando to Denver. When I was looking at flights in November, I noticed that Continental was $300 cheaper than United. With the closing of the United/Continental merger on October 1st, both airlines started to offer reciprocal upgrades to each others elite members. As a 1K on United, I knew that I would have a pretty good chance of trying the First Class product on CO, and with CO also costing $300 less than UA for MCO-DEN, I took the plunge. Since October of 2009, I had only flown United. I had status with them, and saw no reason to fly on Frontier or Continental. United sort of felt like my family, ...

As some of you may know, I took a trip to London the weekend before Thanksgiving. Inspired by a friend that was flying to London and back to re-qualify for his United 1K status, I found a decent fare. For $600, round trip, I got W fares on both segments, which would allow me to use my System Wide Upgrade certificates to upgrade from Economy to Business on both flights. Final routing for the trip would be MCI-ORD on United Express, ORD-LHR on the Boeing 767, and then returning to Kansas City ...

In late November, I did a quick trip to London, staying for only 24 hours. I will do a full report for that trip, but here is a little preview!
