Virgin America Launches Sale: Most Carriers Match

Virgin America has launched a 3 day Fares to Fly by Sale offering discounted tickets across all domestic markets they serve nonstop. Fares are for late Summer/Early Fall travel and start as low as $59 one way. Better yet, West Coast travel is deeply discounted with flights from SFO to Seattle starting at only $79 and flights between LAX and SEA discounted to $89! This low fares are not overly common on this routes, so I would recommend hopping on these low fares when you can! Coast to Coast travel starts at only $149 and flights to/from the Midwest starts at $129 each way!

 vx-fares

For this Vx sale, tickets must be purchased by midnight on Aug 16 and travel must be booked a minimum of 7 days out. Travel Dates are August 21- Nov. 14 and travel must happen Monday-Saturday (Sunday travel is not included). A quick search on Kayak.com confirmed that Alaska Airline is matching this sale fare from the LAX and SFO markets to Seattle and Portland. However, Alaska ups the deal by also offering the sale fare from the smaller Long Beach airport, using its sister carrier Horizon (which offers free wine and beer on board), and Alaska is offering the same deal as VX to SFO and Oakland, making travel cheaper and easier on both sides of the bay.

Other Markets are also being matched by other airlines. United is matching this deal SFO to PDX and both United and AA are matching these sale fares from SFO/LAX to Chicago and Dallas. US airways is matching the deal SFO/LAX to Philly. I did not check the rest of the markets, but based on the markets I checked, all sales were being matched by larger carriers!

If you're flying this fall, this could be a great time to buy, offering low fares and flexibility across for travel across the country! Or maybe it's time for a milage run!
