500 FREE United MileagePlus Miles

For a limited of time United is offering 500 mileage plus miles to anyone who signs up for a MyPoints account. MyPoints.com and United signed an agreement recently to allow MyPoints credits to be turned into Mileage Plus miles, and to celebrate the new partnership anyone who signs up for a new MyPoints account is eligible to receive a 500 mile sign up bonus.

MyPoints.com is probably one of the most comprehensive “points” website allowing users to earn points for doing the things we all already do online: Shopping, Playing games, answering surveys, searching databases (i.e. Google, Yahoo, Bing), book travel, or print coupons. It’s a California based company and allows you to earn points for just about everything! You can even earn points just for downloading the MyPoints tool bar!

Earning points for doing the stuff you already do online seems to be a no brainer!  Once earned, points can be turned into to just about anything from cash, to gift cards, to United Miles! The website even directs you on how to earn points fast and offers bonus opportunities! So be sure to check out the easy point section on the page to earn more points quicker!

All possible rewards for point collectors can be found on the Rewards Page. However sample awards that stuck out to me included:

10,100 points for 5,000 United Mileage Plus miles

  • 9,100 points for a $75 Marriot Gift Card
  • 7,300 points for a $50 iTunes Gift card
  • 7,500 points for a $50 Amazon Gift Card
  • 7,000 points for a Costco membership

There are Over 75 merchants to cash your points in on and the points are easy to collect! Sign up today (via that link or the one emailed to you from United) and start using MyPoints to collect your 500 FREE miles! Even if you’re not interested in using MyPoints for day to day purposes, keep your account open and active for 30 days, and for a quick 25 second sign up process you’ve just earned an easily 500 free United Miles!
