For my Mothers Birthday I treated her to a weekend in Milan. I was lucky to score a room at the Park Hyatt Milan, emailed the GM of the hotel asking if they could put some birthday related welcome amenity in the room. (I offered to pay) He quickly got back to me and said he would take care of it with with complements. When we arrived at the hotel around 10am our room was not yet ready the staff was very welcoming and wish my mother a Happy Birthday! They took my mobile phone number to call when the room was ready, and also offered us to enjoy a late breakfast in the restaurant. This was a nice touch giving us a free Breakfast the day we checked in. More on the breakfast later.
After a few hours enjoying the city my phone rang and I was told the room was ready. As we walked back in the hotel both the door men welcomed me and my mother by name. This was just one of the WOW moments that was to come at the Park Hyatt Milan. Before we could make it in the door there was the same agent from earlier with keys in hand to walk us to our “suite”. This was a first heard that we got upgraded to a suite. The suite was sweet, there was wine and fruit in the room with a birthday card for my mom. She was impressed with the size of the bathroom and all the amenities. Here are some photos of the suite and the Hotel.

The Breakfast all three mornings was just perfect, there was a “buffet” with mostly bread items. We were provided with a menu to order “anything” and we did, as a Hyatt Diamond Breakfast is provided and our bill would have been over 150 euro if we had to pay for what we ordered. That is easy to do when 1 egg has a price that was over 5 euro. Now it was good but man who would pay for that? The restaurant was full and people were paying without batting an eye. So I guess there is a market for it. Thank God for status!
The staff all knew my name, Hello Mr. Little was common to hear as I was walking around the hotel. Kinda cool but also a bit creepy. I can say every member of staff that I ran into was so nice and helpful. A true five star experience!
The location is also perfect; Centrally located near the Piazza del Duomo. All the Shops and sights are an easy walk from the hotel. The hotel has won a ton of awards and I know why for sure, it is one of the best hotels I have ever been too in my life! The hotel was recently named one of the “Top 25 European hotels” by Travel + Leisure and is always tops on many list like this.
This is not a family hotel or for the average person the price points are out of this world, but if you have some points or promotional nights to use this place is Heaven! The rooms are modern yet classy, the staff are just over the top, food is good, and you could not find a better location! This is why Park Hyatt Hotels are by far my favorite brand!
This is one of the few times I can say a hotel brand description hits every point they promote. “Park Hyatt provides an unparalleled experience of elegant, contemporary luxury. Distinguished guests of Park Hyatt receive highly attentive personal service in an intimate and refined environment.”
If you can stay at this place I do not see how you can not be happy! I want to go back not for the city, but this hotel!
One side note about Milan for you foodies:
The best thing to get is a famous Panzerotti a Luini; a special dough deep fried or baked with fillings like tomato and cheese.
