I was lucky to stay at the brand new Hilton Frankfurt Airport in Germany! WOW what an amazing place! When I walked into the lobby of the Hilton, I thought to myself this looks like a Hyatt. This hotel is upscale modern for sure, and is just impressive to look at. Hilton made a major investment here! The Sheraton should be very worried, and also get working on updating the rest of that hotel.
As I was a guest still in the opening days the hotel was not very full, and it was kind of strange to be the only guest in the Executive lounge.. The staff at this hotel are mostly very experienced Hilton staff from other Hiltons in Germany.
There were a few new hotel bumps in the road, but over all this place rocks! As a Diamond I was upgraded to an executive room, and granted access to the lounge. You can see from the photos below the lounge is massive and very modern. One thing I do worry about is how the food service area will hold up once this hotel is mostly booked and the lounge is full as this space was a bit small.
The room was a good size not huge but not small, the bathroom was a very good size and modern. The shower head was removable but when mounted it was like a rain - shower. TV was HD and had many English stations from the UK, One downside was their was no A/V inputs for the TV so you can not play video from a personal device. At the desk they had both UK (220V) and US (110V) outlets that went with the German/EU style.
One thing that I was not happy about was the fact that as of now this hotel is not giving Diamond VIP’s the option of eating their free breakfast in the lounge or the restaurant. I looked back at my notes (sadly I do keep notes of my hotel stays) and every-other Hilton in Germany with a lounge (and I have been to all of them) gave me an option of the lounge or the restaurant. I do not think the new "flagship" Hilton in Germany wants to be the only Hilton in Germany (and Europe in my experience) not to extend this perk to Hiltons most loyal. I think it will lead to disappointment to the loyal guest, as it was my biggest disappointment for my stay. I know it is not an official program offering but it has become the normal around the world outside the USA. Time will tell if this rule changes. However the breakfast in the lounge was good.
UPDATE: I'm at the Hilton on my second stay and this time I was told they are "testing" to offer Diamond members breakfast in the lounge or the Restaurant! So lets hope this sticks around! If you stay here let them know you really like this perk!!! (you all are welcome!) ;)
I had dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn next door, their restaurant is more of a modern American diner meets Europe with a show kitchen and Pizza oven. I had a pizza and beer it was very good. As a guest at the Hilton you can charge to the room at the HGI or the other way around. I will have more on the HGI at Frankfurt airport in a post soon. Here is a photo of the menu:
I think photos can speak louder then words on this hotel, and the photos really do not do it justice. This is hands down the best Airport Hilton I have been to yet. Here are a ton of photos for you to look at, if you have any questions please put them in the comments.

Well I hope you can spend a night at this new hotel. You can also check out a post I did from the hotel with a video walking tour to get a better idea.

Tremendous photos and clearly a worthy competitor of the Sheraton FRA.
