German Lufthansa is going to overhaul the cabin of its European fleet and launch a "new service concept" by then end of 2010.
Designated 'Neue Europa Kabine, as part of the airline's 'Climb 2011' restructuring initiative will launch around Nov 2010
Today Lufthansa talked about this overhaul during an investors' presentation today..
Lufthansa did not give any more details about this new cabin or service..
A source told me LH is looking at adding a premium class that will have premium seats, replacing the flexible "open middle seat" C cabin. I do not know if this will happen LH is very good at selling C on some domestic and Euro flights.. I have been on flights and the C cabin is past the wing on a B737 and others with 1 row of C.
"This will be launched later this year," says a spokesman for Lufthansa.
"It will be a comprehensive revamp of our continental fleet including new seats and a new in-flight service concept.
"It will mean, for sure, more comfort and service in economy-class, as well as strengthening our premium-carrier approach."
