Continental Inaugural Flight IAH-FRA CO46 Nov 1 2009

I was lucky to be on board the first IAH-FRA CO flight. There was a nice "party" at IAH, with some German food and a German band. Jeff Smisek was there and also took the ride to FRA. The flight was very nice and the crew was very good.. The big boss was on board and you could tell. First round of drinks were on Jeff for everyone on board. We had to delay departure by around 20 min so we would not get to FRA too early. We had some very strong tail winds and even with the delay got in 30 min early. At FRA, everyone was given a gift bag by the city of Frankfurt, and there was CO banners all over the place. Balloons and a ton of LH executives. It was a very nice flight and event..

This was my first time on CO, as a UNITED 1K I was very impressed with the CO service across the board. The Presidents club was much nicer then most of the UNITED RCCs. At IAH there are *A logos all over the place and it was clear that most working at CO really are happy to be a part of Star.

I got to chat with Jeff for about 1 min and he was happy to see a UNITED 1K flying with CO.
