Bumped to Bosnia

I’m blogging from the Lufthansa SEN lounge in Munich.. Today started early to get my 0650 flight from FRA to MUC on LH. Got to Munich and walked right to the SEN lounge, welcomed by a very nice LH lounge agent… I asked her to take a look at our seats for our Lufthansa CityLine flight to SJJ Sarajevo wanted to know if my UA*G status would block the middle seat. She told me the flight is full.. Oh my! Sir! the flight is oversold by many people. Me like a kid said,…. “I will take the bump!!!” all the other agents looked at me and laughed.. I guess I was a little loud. The super nice agent pulled up a screen with all my options for flights and the compensation. There were 4 different flight options.

MUC-ZAG-SJJ (LH Cityline and Croatia Airlines) getting in around 3pm (3 hours late)
MUC-WAW-VIE-SJJ (LH/LO/OS) (getting in 8 hours late)
MUC-LJU-SJJ (JP) Getting in 3 hours late but on CJR2s also very tight connection in LJU
MUC-FRA-WAW-VIE-SJJ (LH/LO/OS) Getting in 8 hours late..

Each option had “250 EURO Cash” listed next to them.

I was rebooked on the MUC-ZAG LH cityline flight then Croatia Airlines to SJJ. I will now get to Sarajevo at 3pm a little under 3 hours later then my original routing. Me and my friend both got 250 EURO CASH.. I like cash. Real Cash.

So here is the best part I booked this R/T FRA-SJJ via MUC both ways on LH.com back in June for 126.00 euro all in each.

The lounge agent, LH supervisor and other agents were so nice, and efficient in this process, telling me to sit in the lounge and they would take care of it.. I got emails within minutes with my new booking info and they found me sipping on my Beer in the lounge with cash in hand, and new boarding passes..

So I want to thank Lufthansa.. they are right There’s no better way to fly.. Especially when they pay you to fly!

Lets see if my baggage gets to Sarajevo..
