Bored Room bored room

I'm on twitter. Maybe a bit too much. I find that I follow a good chunk of adults, rather than young adults, because twitter at times seems business oriented. Business oriented means you MUST find a lot of airline related tweeters. In fact, sometimes I think twitter was made just for the aviation circle (except when I see some of those RIDICULOUS trending topics). Most of the people I like to follow on twitter are in the aviation industry. Here's a brief list of a few people I like to ...

I don't know if you saw this on flyertalk or not, but AS is offering 4,000 mileage plan miles or a $100 e-cert if you give them feedback on their website over a phone or in person survey. However, you must take a questionnaire beforehand to be selected, but if you fill in the blanks right, I think you may have an AS rep calling you in a few months. I really hope they get the feedback they need to fix their website that has been totally buggy these last couple months. It's been bad...but at ...

As I was tipped off by somebody who works at Alaska, I noticed they had great $31 one way fares to SFO and LAX from SEA on 10.30 and 10.31. Needless to say, I booked two seats to SFO for myself and a friend and since it was within the 72 hour MVP Gold upgrade window I got two upgrades at purchase for myself and my companion. I added an e-cert and paid $40 in taxes. $20 for a first class ticket with less than 72 hours purchase? I am very impressed. These lows fares made me buy some tickets. If planes are empty the airlines might as well fill them. I mean, who doesn't want to hang out in San Francisco on Halloween and still be home in time for parties?

Unfortunately I upset Luckycoins because he thinks I could have done LAX for more EQMS/RDMS but not everyone flies with a companion who wants to milage run (there is no doubt that it is easier to get into the city from SFO than LAX).

Alright, so it's 9:45 PM Pacific Time and I'm anxiously awaiting the CO site to update with Star Alliance news. I'm waiting for my new CO Gold Elite card to come in the mail with the *G logo on it. I made a simple mockup of what I expect it to look like for those who may be interested.

And now it's 10:10 PM and the CO site has been updated, my status shows as *G and everything is set. Now to hear about elite upgrades or E+ access on UA!

Excited? Yes!

You know what I hate? I hate when people totally disregard any sense of class when they step on an airplane. Especially in a premium cabin (like Alaska Airlines first class ). It's interesting to see people who are picking their scabs, or peeling off their toenails during the flight. I just love seeing when people put their smelly feet up on the bulkhead! I was once on a flight where the old woman behind me in 3C had soiled her adult diaper, and well, the salad didn't taste like just lettuce with the recycled air and all... I finally had enough when I was flying SNA-SEA on Alaska and the guy behind me took his bare foot and was scratching my arm with his toes. I finally told him to remove his foot from my armrest or I would do it for him.
